Player Profile Laura Scherian

2019 saw Laura Scherian hit a purple patch after shifting from Centre to Wing Attack. The 31-year-old quickly adjusted to the more attacking role, and at the midway point of the season led the competition in centre pass receives. The midcourter is known for her work ethic and high training standards week in, week out. Scherian represented Australia in the Fast5 World Series in 2018. She was invited to train at the Samsung Diamonds’ camp in the leadup to the 2019 Quad Series and Constellation Cup and again in March 2019 in the leadup to the Vitality World Cup. The Wing Attack made her national league netball debut in 2007 with the AIS Canberra Darters in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy before joining the Queensland Firebirds in 2010 as part of the ANZ Championships
